Fake pumpkins are ready for harvesting at any and all stores! I picked up an off white pumpkin a couple of days ago, planning to use it on my mantel. Once I placed it there, it looked a little drab. It needed some perking up! I could have painted it. I could have stenciled an initial on it. Or, I could use some chevron burlap ribbon that I bought not knowing when it might come in handy.
I decided on the ribbon for a couple of reasons. One, I liked the look of it and two, it was going to be so easy! I cut two strips of ribbon, each one long enough to go around the pumpkin. Hot glue and burlap don’t go together very well, so I wanted to avoid that. A simple solution was to use thumb tacks.
