I’ve seen lots of versions of book page Christmas trees and I’ve read a few tutorials on how to make them. I tried a couple of times to make them and they didn’t turn out well. I put the idea of making them aside, but this year, I decided I’d give it one more try.
I read two tutorials this time and decided to make my tree by combining instructions from both of them. An Extraordinary Day and Kayla Aimee have different versions and I pulled some tips from both of those for mine.
I began by choosing an old paperback book which was buried behind others on my book case. It’s not one I planned on wanting to read again, nor one that I particularly enjoyed. So, I didn’t feel bad about taking it apart. Now, it will have a fresh start as a part of my holiday decor.
Book Page Christmas Tree
I tore off the outer cover of the book and folded it to break the spine of the book, making it more flexible. I tore out the first few pages that had very little print on them.
Have you tried these? They really are pretty simple once you get the folding method down. You can’t beat this for inexpensive decor!
