This Valentine’s Day project could not be any easier! Adding a burlap wrap to flameless pillar candles, along with a few hearts took these candles from plain to pretty. This project took about ten minutes to put together and part of that time was just waiting on my glue gun to heat up. You can make a similar one with only a few items.
I started with two cream colored battery pillar candles and used some extra laminated burlap from another project to wrap around the candles. It’s hot glued in place in the back.
I cut out a bunch of hearts from red felt just as I did for my hanging Valentine’s Day sign. I cut squares, folded them in half and cut out the shape.
I hot glued three hearts around each candle.
To make them a little less plain, I added stick on initials for our first names to the center heart.
That’s it. I told you this one was simple! Using candles I already had, scraps of burlap and felt and stick on letters I already had, the little project cost me zero. I’ll bet just about everyone has things on hand to make something similar for no added cost.

These are easily enough to put together that with a little help, it could be a fun Valentine’s Day project to do with children. What child doesn’t like stickers? They could decorate the wraps with their favorite stickers. I’d love to hear about it if you make these with your little ones.
