Welcome to week number ten in our One Good Thing Series. Each Friday, we will be choosing one good thing from the week prior to highlight. While lots of good things can be found throughout the week, this is a place to spotlight one in particular. It might be something as simple as a great meal we had or a blog post that inspired us. It could be something awesome that that happened in our lives or in the world around us. It might be something related to our blog. Some will be from Gloria and some from Beverly. They will all be short snippets of what made us stop and think “Well, that was a good thing!” We would love for others to share their own one good thing!
This week’s One Good Thing has been having our grandson visiting us for his Spring Break. It’s such a treat to have him spend time with us since we don’t live nearby each other. We’ve had a fun week! I think I had forgotten just how much an almost 11 year old boy can eat! Whew!
Yesterday we took him to Cypress Gardens to see the alligators and other reptilian life. He loved it. The paddle boat ride through the cypress trees was the highlight of the day. Here in Charleston, we like to refer to our wetlands as marshland-it sounds prettier than a swamp. But, at Cypress Gardens, they don’t try to pretty it up any. It’s called what it is-a swamp! It is a peaceful and lovely spot though. It’s also the site of several movies-The Patriot, The Notebook, Cold Mountain and the classic – Swamp Thing – all had scenes filmed here.
That’s my One Good Thing from the week. What’s yours?
We would love to have you comment and share your One Good Thing from the week. Feel free to add a link to something awesome if you would like.
We hope you all have a fun and happy Easter!
