Welcome to the 2016 Ornament Exchange & Blog Hop! This year, there are 11 pairs of partners or 22 talented ladies participating in the exchange. The rules of the challenge were simple – create a handmade ornament for under $15 to exchange with a partner and create a tutorial to share on the blog hop!
I’m so excited to be a part of the 2016 Ornament Exchange & Blog Hop! Lots of thanks to Erlene from My Pinterventures for putting it all together!
This year, I was partnered with Donna from Two Chicks and a Mom. I was happy to learn that Donna’s Christmas tree style is very much like mine. I mentioned to her that I have one tree that is a hodgepodge of ornaments that I love that I’ve collected over the years. She decorates a tree in similar fashion. She also told me that she loves coastal ornaments. After learning that, I was all set. I can’t wait to have a look at all of the ornaments that will be shared! Please stop by any of the blogs below to get into the Christmas spirit!

Living in a coastal city means that there is always the opportunity to go to the beach and collect shells. This year, I’m making several differently styled ornaments using shells collected at Folly Beach, SC. I’ve seen Santa Shell Ornaments before and I wanted to give making a few of them a try. After sorting and cleaning the shells, I chose one of the larger ones for Donna’s ornament. To make one of your own, you’ll only need a few items. Have a closer look at my tutorial in my Santa Sea Shell post.
