This is the first year we’ve gone back to look at the top posts from the previous year. We’re sharing these posts before we shift our focus to 2017. We were delighted to see that a number of our coastal projects were in the top ten. We were also a little surprised to see that two recipes made the list, too! Thanks to all of our readers who spent some time with us during 2016. We appreciate each one of you!
Top Ten Posts 2016
This is one of our favorite upcycle projects. Using a pretty wine bottle, we created a fun coastal decor piece for our guest room makeover.
Finding items at a thrift store than can be repurposed is such a budget friendly way to create a look you love. These projects add a great coastal touch for only a few dollars.
Our recipe for Sour Cream Orange Pound Cake was number eight! This is a delicious twist on a traditional pound cake recipe.
For the last couple of years, I’ve used coastal colors for my fall decor instead of the oranges, browns and yellows that I’ve always used. This candle project was a fun and easy one to create.
This easy wall art was not only inexpensive, it only took a few minutes to create.
By using items I already had in my home, each of these got a coastal look. This helped to keep the budget low for my guest room makeover.
I had such fun putting this Easter Bunny project together. A simple crate and a wooden bunny made for a cute decor piece.
This one surprised us! This easy French Toast Bake is a great dish for a special brunch or weekend breakfast.
This project coming in at number two proves that sometimes simple is best. This is the easiest wreath I’ve ever made and it’s also the most viewed wreath on the blog.
This Santa ornament was made to send to my ornament exchange partner. I have to thank Hometalk for featuring this on Facebook, Twitter and in an email, sending lots of readers to the post. It’s by far the most viewed post we’ve ever had.
Thanks again for making 2016 a fun year of blogging for us. We appreciate the comments, shares and views of our posts. We wish each of you a wonderful new year and we can’t wait to get started on new ideas for 2017!
This year, we are going to try to stick to a posting schedule. For the first time, we’ve using a planner and are hoping to stay up to date with our posts. We’re aiming for at least two posts each week (more during holidays). In addition to our weekly Snickerdoodle Create~Bake~Make Party that opens every Saturday at 5:00 pm (et), we’ll be co-hosting other parties throughout the year. Look for our Valentine’s Link Party opening on Jan 13! We’re looking forward to connecting with more of our readers and other bloggers this year.
