Last fall, I decided to change up my fall decor from the usual orange, brown, and red decor by incorporating coastal colors into my fall decor. I enjoyed the look and this year I’m going to continue adding pieces that fit in with a Coastal Fall Decor theme. I was given a wire basket with candle vases by and friend just before he was about to donate it to Goodwill. I was happy to have it and knew I could give it a makeover to fit my decor. I bought an old recipe card stand at Goodwill a few months ago. It needed a makeover, but it’s just the kind of project I like! I changed it from drab and outdated to a piece that fits in with my coastal kitchen decor. I only paid a couple of dollars for it and I had all of the supplies on hand to give it a much needed new look. It’s another example of how to take a thrift store find and give it new life by doing a simple Recipe Card Stand Makeover.
I’ve been sharing lots of decor items and furniture makeovers that have transformed a very nondescript guest room into an inviting, coastal room. When I decided to give this room its makeover, I was determined to do so on a very small budget. I wanted to keep the cost around $100. I’m happy to say that I did just that! Here’s the final look.
