Last year I spotted a number of pins of bird baths being repurposed as fairy gardens and I thought they looked awesome. I happened to have a standard concrete bird bath that wasn’t doing anything to enhance the look of my lawn. I decided to create my own little fairy garden, minus the real plants and flowers. After trying DIY chalk paint for the first time and loving how easily it is to work with, I was ready to take on a project that was a little bit larger than the stenciled piece. But, I wasn’t ready to use it on any furniture pieces I already own, so I made a trip to the local Goodwill Store. There was not a lot to choose from that day, but for $5.00 I found this piece that seemed like it could be a great test piece.
