I enjoy changing up this framed chalkboard seasonally. Most recently, it had a spring time look to it. Now that the weather has warmed up-we’re hitting ninety degrees in Charleston this week- it’s time for a summer chalkboard. Gloria and I both live in flip flops for much of the year, but with this heat, it’s definitely flip flop season! I didn’t use any special chalkboard transfer methods. It’s quicker and easier to just hand letter it. It might not look uniform, but it works for me! I’m all about simple projects and this one delivers on that!
Happy May Day! Spring is in full bloom and whether you’re decorating with faux flowers or fresh ones, May Day has always been a day to show off some floral decor. I found a long wall basket at Goodwill recently and even though it was black and not at all spring like, I knew all it needed was a couple of coats of paint and some pretty flowers to have a perfect May Day Flower Basket. A pretty tablescape for Easter dinner is always fun to put together. This year, I’m using mixed metals and bunnies for our dining table. A combination of gold, silver, rose gold, and pink complete the look. For me, creating a pretty tablescape adds some joy to any special occasion.
